Zach and I got to meet Willie & Kelsey through a creative group called Conspire Creative. We had just moved to Idaho and I had been dying to shoot in the PNW. So we met in Oregon at Cannon Beach and within minutes we knew that we had gained two new friends. Kelsey and Willie were two of the most down to earth people that we had ever met and their little guy Willie had me oohing and awing. Like seriously, these two beautiful humans made another human and he is also beautiful. Like sooo beautiful... you'll see once you scroll down.
So we decided to meet at the beach at sunrise. It just so happens that Cannon Beach was on my photography bucket list of places to shoot at, so I was seriously in awe when we arrived. If you don't understand the extent of my being in awe, let me help you. I am from Ohio - farm land, corn fields, hills. A one stop light town, the brown Ohio River and cows. No beach, no giant rock formations, no ocean. So when I say I was in awe, I mean my jaw dropped when I walked on that beach and I may have cried a little,
This shoot was honestly a breath of fresh air. After the upheaval of moving from the Midwest to the PNW, this shoot was exactly what my soul needed. I got to watch two amazing souls love one another so well. I didn't have to tell them to act, I just shot two people looking into each other's eyes. It was real, it was raw and it was emotional. The love these three have for one another is evident in these photos. See for yourself.
